Our Lift off Lotto is a vital source of income for the charity, funding around 50% of all our missions!
In addition to providing this important support for our services, our lottery is also a way of giving something back, as thanks, to our highly valued supporters with the chance to win £1,000 – every week!
It’s a win-win!
For as little as £4.34 a month you could win one of our cash prizes of £1,000, £200, £75, £50 or £25.
Friends of the NW Air Ambulance Lottery Community Interest Company is licensed and regulated in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission under account number 5227.
How it works
Our Lift Off lottery results are drawn every Friday using a random number generator to select winning numbers, allocating one prize per number drawn.
Chances of winning in our Lift Off Lotto: We have approximately 100,000 plays in each Lift Off Lotto Draw. Each play has an equal chance of winning one of the 5 cash prizes so 5 in 100,000 or 1 in 20,000.
Chances of winning in our tri-annual Prize Draw: If we sold 50,000 tickets in our next draw and have 8 prizes in total, this would mean you have a 1 in 6,250 chance of winning a cash prize.
In 2019/20, Friends of North West Air Ambulance received £5,286,246 in ticket sales for its Lift Off Lotto and £126,149 for the tri-annual Prize Draw. 84.85% (£4,485,285) for the Lift Off Lotto and 58.78% (£74,154) for our Prize Draw went straight back to the charity to fund our lifesaving work, helping us fly around 2500 flight missions annually.
1.35% (£71,565) was spent on prizes for our Lift Off Lotto and 16.85% (£21,254) for our Prize Draw. In terms of expenses, this was 13.80% (£729,396) for our Lift Off Lotto and 24.37% (£30,741) for our Prize Draw.
You must be aged 16 years or over and live in Great Britain to participate in our Lift Off Lotto or Prize Draw.

COVID-19 - What you need to know
During the coronavirus outbreak, the Lift Off Lotto draw is operating as normal. You can sign-up for our Weekly Lottery through our webpage, by downloading a Lottery Application Form in the ‘How to play’ section or by calling our team on 0800 587 4570 who will send you a form in the post. If you do choose to leave your house, please practice social distancing rules to keep yourself and others safe.
IF YOU PAY BY CHEQUE: As a result of the COVID-19 prevention measures, there may be a delay in processing weekly payments if you pay by cheque. Therefore, there may be a chance you will miss a week’s draw, but will be entered into the next one as well as all subsequent draws moving forward. Supporters will still have the same number of opportunities in our weekly Lift Off Lotto.
All other lottery payments will be processed as normal during this time. If you have any questions, please call the team on 0800 587 4570.
