Raise funds, save lives

Help your local air ambulance keep flying and saving lives

Fundraising through Covid-19 – What you need to know

Thank you for choosing to fundraise for the North West Air Ambulance Charity. Now, more than ever before, we need your help and support to ensure we continue flying to save lives!

It’s our 21st birthday this year and we can’t wait to celebrate it with you! We understand that fundraising may seem a little complicated right now, but our fundraising team are on hand to make the process as easy as possible.

Join our Virtual Adventure:

We would recommend, wherever possible, that fundraisers are done in a virtual way. There’s plenty of ways for us to be creative – from ladies who lunch zoom calls to live gaming sessions – we’re looking forward to adventuring into the virtual world together!

Managing Risk:

Due to Covid-19 we’ve added a few changes to our fundraising process to ensure that we keep our volunteers, supporters, staff and the public as safe as possible. These include needing a Risk Assessment to be completed for any fundraisers where more than one household will come together. Please don’t worry – the fundraising team will be there to work together with you on this.

Wherever possible we’d ask that donations are made in a contactless way:

  • We accept BACs transfers – please call us or email fundraising@nwaa.net for details
  • Donations via our donation hotline: 0800 587 4570
  • Donations through our website
  • Cheques through the post to our Head Office address:
    • North West Air Ambulance Charity, North Mersey Business Centre, Woodward Road, Knowsley, L33 7UY
  • In some instances we can also post a Paying in Slip out to you
  • Donations via online giving platforms, such as Just Giving

Government Guidelines:

Whilst we’re excited to help you on your fundraising journey, we need to make sure that we do so in the safest possible way. Government Guidelines change frequently and we would ask that you keep checking them to make sure that you are following the latest recommendations in terms of social distancing, health and safety and hygiene measures. We recommend checking the following website: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/

As with many industries, we have needed to utilise the Government Furlough Scheme. The majority of our fundraising team have been furloughed so that we can focus our resources on flying to save lives. Your contact may not therefore be as local as we would like, however we have a core team waiting to support you. They can be contacted by email fundraising@nwaa.net and by phone 0800 587 4570.
