What to donate

Your quality pre-loved goods could help us save lives. We are always grateful to receive books, clothing, accessories, CDs and DVDs, and children toys, to sell online and in our shops. We also welcome furniture donations and offer a free Covid-19 secure collection service for these items.

Frequently asked questions

The charity is not currently posting recycling bags to homes. If you do receive a bag with our name and logo on, please let us know by emailing fundraising@nwaa.net with your name, address, contact number and a photo of the bag if possible.

Although we appreciate all donations made to the charity, those left outside the store are classed as fly tipping and must be disposed of, costing your North West Air Ambulance Charity time and money. Donations left outside of the store not only pose a health and safety risk to our staff and volunteers but an environmental health and fire risk too.

Donations left outside our stores are often damaged by the weather, or wildlife, and are quite often stolen. Each time fly tipping occurs it can cost the charity £500, which could be used in so many ways to support our lifesaving mission. For example, £500 could provide 55.6 minutes of fuel for one of our helicopters, allowing us to reach a patient who is critically ill or injured. Please bear this in mind when leaving donations outside of the store.

Our drivers are following all government advice. As such, your driver will call you ahead of arriving at your property to double-check if you’re isolating or not. Our drivers will be wearing gloves and are washing their hands regularly.

All deliveries will now be made to behind the main entrance of your home. If you have a collection booked, you’ll need to bring your item to your door ready for us to collect, otherwise we won’t be able to remove it.

We’re taking a sensible approach to the evolving situation with Covid-19 by following all government advice to make sure we can continue to serve our customers and protect our people.
