Announcement: Coronavirus (COVID-19)
In response to coronavirus (COVID-19), we want to inform all those who support us about the important steps we are taking to protect our staff, volunteers and supporters. We are taking significant measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19, whilst continuing to provide lifesaving care across the North West.
Following the recent developments regarding coronavirus and subsequent advice from Public Health England, we have taken the decision to postpone all NWAA events and to suspend our Lottery canvassing with immediate effect. These measures will be in place until further notice. We have also taken the decision to temporarily close our shops, and we apologise that we can no longer accept donated goods from the public. Please help us by not leaving bags of donated items outside our shops, as we are not able to process these at the current time. We have also suspended the collection and delivery of furniture, until further notice.
Our main priority is the health and safety of our patients, supporters, staff, volunteers and the wider community, and we do not want to put anyone at unnecessary risk.
We are, as ever, incredibly grateful for the ongoing support of our community, in a time where we are postponing fundraising efforts for our services. The charity will be exploring different ways to engage with existing and new supporters in the coming months and will keep volunteers and supporters updated. We have enabled our staff to work from home, wherever possible, so our charity offices are temporarily unmanned. Our supporter engagement team is still on hand to answer any charity enquiries and you can contact them Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm, by calling 0800 587 4570 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
We apologise to anyone who may be impacted by these measures and we are sending our very best wishes to all who are being affected by the virus.
Finally, we urge all supporters to please remain safe, and consider how we might all best support vulnerable members of our communities at this time.
We thank you for your ongoing support,
CEO, North West Air Ambulance Charity
