Retail Assistant, Longridge

The North West Air Ambulance Charity provides rapid pre-hospital care needed to make a life changing difference. We operate three helicopters, flying 365 days a year with doctors and paramedics on board providing emergency medical treatment when time is critical.

Our Charity Retail shops are vital to raising funds and helping increase public awareness of the Charity.

The Role

  • Retail Assistant
  • Salary: £8.21 per hour
  • Part time: 21 hours per week with weekend work on a rota basis
  • Based in our Longridge store

Main duties and responsibilities

  • To maximise sales and profits ensuring weekly targets are met
  • Maximise the shop’s opening hours and ensure the shop is open and managed by the shop team in the managers absence
  • Act as a role model for volunteers, ensuring quality of training and the Charity standards are met.
  • Provide a great customer service and donor experience, which attracts new supporters every day
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness, display and merchandising are met
  • Ensure the Health and Safety of your colleagues and customers

Volunteer Engagement Manager

We are currently investing in our Income and Engagement team and growing sustainable income for the future to increase our lifesaving work.

The Volunteer Engagement Manager will provide leadership, support and recognition of our Volunteers across the charity. This is a challenging and rewarding position working in a regional charity in pursuit of the organisation’s charitable goals.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Lead on and champion volunteering across the charity
  • Deliver the volunteering strategy focusing on recruitment, retention and development of our volunteers
  • Contribute to the multi-site volunteering engagement programmes in conjunction with the operational teams

The Candidate

  • Direct experience of working with volunteers in similar roles
  • Strong networking skills and the ability to influence senior management
  • Experience of developing and implementing volunteering strategies

The Role

  • 35 hours per week
  • Salary: £31,491-£36,215
  •  Based in our Head Office in Knowsley with travel across the North West

Corporate Partnership Fundraiser

We are currently investing in our Income and Engagement team and growing sustainable income for the future to increase our lifesaving work.

The Corporate Partnership Fundraiser will ensure effective development and delivery of all corporate fundraising within NWAA, through developing  strong relationships with corporates and co-ordinate Association of Air Ambulance charity partnerships

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and manage the implementation of the corporate fundraising plan including a portfolio of products and initiatives
  • Provide service excellence to new and existing corporate supporters
  • To be a positive ambassador for NWAA, promoting awareness of its services and inspiring existing and potential supporters from the private sector
  • To manage the expectations of strategic corporate partners appropriately ensuring a professional and consistent approach
  • Ensure that all corporate partnership activities are kept within agreed budgets in order to guarantee the effective and appropriate use of charitable funds

The Role

  • 35 hours per week
  • Salary: £28,195-£32,424
  • Based in our Head Office in Knowsley with travel across the North West
