The charity gives back to the Cumbrian communityDecember 8, 2015
Following the devastating effects of the recent bad weather conditions, we have deployed one of our aircraft and medical team to Cumberland Infirmary to assist the local community in their time of need.
Despite being unable to carry out missions in the flooded areas, our Blackpool aircraft, Helimed 08, and its medical team will be providing HEMS support where accessible and carrying out transfers for patients to access crucial equipment or medical care at alternative hospitals throughout the region.
Helimed 75 has been moved temporarily to the Blackpool base to ensure that rapid treatment will continue to be accessible to patients across the North West during this time.
Our thoughts are with those affected across the entire region.
